Nothing Painted Blue - Few (1991) [Scat Records, SCAT 18, 7"]

Tracklist:

A - Few
B - Or Do They?

From the Nothing Painted Blue compilation Emotional Discipline's liner notes:

Few:
(Rec. June-August 1990 in Upland & Hollywood CA by David Lowery on 4 tracks.)

FRANKLIN: My friend Guy suggested that
songs on this comp be accompanied
by inset photos of the people (often
women) that they were written
about, but I'd like to keep a few
friends. Written during one of my
more vindictive periods, when I
would sometimes jump offstage and
cheese-grate the guitar neck against
a spectator's bare legs.

Or Do They?:

KYLE: David Lowery recorded this (and
"Few") on Franklin's parents' rec
room on a Walkman with a plug-in
condenser mic. Franklin over-
dubbed vocals on a 4-track a few
weeks later. These recordings were
sent off as a demo, but Scat liked it
enough to release two songs. Check
out the rumble.

FRANKLIN: Several songs from this
between-album era got lost in the
shuffle: "Could Couldn't", "Factory
Windows," "Condolence Call." Just
wanted to name them.
