back to the Sonic Enemy index

Party of One was Peter Hughes' early solo project, consisting of just Peter himself and a Casio MT-100. Tapes were released 1987 - 1994, with some overlap between Party of One and DiskothiQ releases. Since three of the major releases were on Sonic Enemy, it's been harder to effectively document these. Thankfully, Joel Huschle (Wckr Spgt, Furniture Huschle) put out a Party of One tape on Car In Car Disco Product in 1994.

Party of One also made some compilation appearances, often on acoustic guitar:

There are 4 confirmed Party of One tapes. The first two, I've been able to cobble together information on thanks to messages, mail, and photos/audio rips:

A Good Time (1987, Sonic Enemy)

 White Noise (1988, Sonic Enemy)

The third tape, the Delly Daktel split cassette, was made available to me for photos and an A-to-D, thanks to Mark Givens of Wckr Spgt, which let me get the lyrics down. In 2022, a kind site reader (hello, Tim: thank you!) mailed his copy, which is scanned in full and used for the audio clips on the page.

Party of One/Delly Daktel Split - Pick Yr Monologue

And the fourth tape, which I found a copy of online:

Super-Leggera (1994, Car In Car Disco Product)
