HERE IS THE INDEX for things that I just straight-up cannot find a copy of yet. I've knocked a lot off the list over the years, and I keep finding bits and pieces of things, and sometimes people get me the digital copies of things, but I prefer to work off of the real deal if possible. Analog website, analog material. Anywhere on the site you see one of these:
...That means I don't have a copy, so there's no index page for it. Each one should have the album information typed in it, like this:
...And each one will link to this page that you're currently on, when clicked.
Almost all the items I'm looking for are tapes, but there's a chance some CDs or 7"s may pop up later. If you have a copy of any of the items on this page and want to help out, here's what you can do:
1) If you'd be willing to part with it, I'd pay you any compensation you think is fair and any shipping/packaging costs.
2) You could temporarily mail a copy, with a hard deadline for me to return it to you after scans/A-to-D, also with me paying you any shipping/packaging costs.
3) For tapes: if you've got experience dubbing and you send me a dubbed copy with a photocopy of the insert, that's 100% fine by me, same as above on shipping costs.
4) For tapes/records: if you get the .wav file of either side and a high-res scan of everything (full J-card/sleeve, any inserts or catalogs, images of both sides of the physical media) for something really truly hard to find, I'll work with it; this is the only way I've been able to cover most of the Sonic Enemy material.

UPDATE 8/19/22: I got some email not long after the site launch, and then some packages. Three Sonic Enemy tapes (Pick Yr Monologue, the Growing Up With You comp, and Exit House tape decompositions) have been crossed off the list, and two Shrimper tapes (Ha Ha Hanukah, Bingo Trappers - More Soul) are in the queue to get indexed here. UPDATE 1/3/24: Many Shrimper tapes turned up last year and have been removed from the list, so we're down to just 17 Shrimper tapes missing. Car In Car and Instigation releases still very hoped-for. Sonic Enemy releases still elusive but I keep the dream alive, even just for a Hot August Night to come my way (I really want to dig around in Midland Pipe with some EQ...) or maybe one of the first two Party of One tapes will finally have a home here. I am officially swearing off bidding on Mountain Goats items online no matter what label they're on, even for archival purposes. They'll turn up.
