Refrigerator - Car Alarm (1992) [Shrimper, SHR706, 7"]

What Does This 7" Sound Like?

This is a nice one, varies the energy a lot as you go. "Been There Done" is an easygoing intro. "Here Comes Franklin" is a lot of fun, and is about Franklin. "Caboose" can also be heard on Lonesome Surprise as "Albert Caboose".

B2. Some Times
B3. Title Track
B4. Spare Chain

A1. Been There Done
i may never seem to notice
you know me
it gets hard to tell the difference
between a stream and your tv

been there done
been there done

and i do not have the shoulders
to carry this [inaudible]
and anything else
[inaudible]might drop on me

been there done
been there done

you're at the wrong show
at the wrong hole

been there done
been there done
been there done
A2. Here Comes Franklin

HERE HE COMES
he's a dancer
a romancer
he's a dancer there's no stopping him now
he's a dancer
and real handsome

(i'm not sure if that last line is what dennis is saying, but let's go with it)

A3. Caboose
see Lonesome Surprize

B1. Resolvingism
why can't you see
why can't you see
why can't you see i wanna see you

please don't make me say it
don't mess me up
more than i already am

why can't you see
why can't you see i wanna see you
somehow it really bothers me
what a wonderful world it'd be
if frustration, desperation
were the things that made a person
more attractive and appealing

why can't you see
why can't you see i wanna see you

i should maybe write a book
that i could show to your face
page after page filled with all
i cannot really articulate

why can't you see

B2. Some Times
sometimes i like to walk in the dark
with nobody else but me
sometimes i like to walk at night
where nobody else can see

B3. Title Track
come feel my sharp brass lock
my brand new car alarm
the rifle beneath my bed
come hold me in your arms
come hold me in your arms
come hold me in your arms
come hold me in your arms
come hold me in your arms

B4. Spare Chain dissapointment in today
disappointed in the way
disappointment in the obvious
disappointed in what's been kept
and what's been thrown away
spare chain
spare change
disappointment it ain't so bad
you see it only means
you've got some faith left
this race may one day
somehow be redeemed
somehow be redeemed
